On this solo episode with Carolina, she dives into the topic of going outside your comfort zone and taking that leap of faith! In the beginning of the episode Carolina talks about a moment on her birthday where she shared with her friends the moment of reflection, she had about the past year. She realized that she had so many changes throughout the last year, but that these changes where from her own doing. She moved in with her boyfriend, changed up her career, travelled, changed her mindset around working out + eating and even launched her own brand! She decided to take different risks + try new things, BUT these decisions were conscious decisions.
the ego likes comfort
She spoke about how change causes her anxiety and how she stresses about each decision she makes. Change is so scary because our ego likes to be comfortable. In your comfort zone you know what you’re good at, you know what you have already accomplished, you don’t have to test out the waters. But getting outside your comfort zone can be amazing.
give yourself permission to change
Carolina talks about how her parents are risk-adverse and at times have wanted to protect her from these changes that she wanted to make in her life. She realized that she had to stop waiting for their permission and learn how to trust herself + the universe. She knew that the universe would be there for her if she opened herself up and WANTED to try new things. The universe will show up for you in these moments if you believe that this is where you are meant to be.
go against the resistance
Carolina stressed the importance of going against the resistance, of the fear. You must recognize that, yes, this change will be scary and will be something that might not feel comfortable, but if it feels right to you and if it lights you up inside, then go for it! You don’t have to be good at it right away, be ready for not being “perfect”, but embrace yourself and back your skills, because you will figure it out. All you must do is show up for yourself.
Trust your instincts and just do it! You will learn so much about yourself and the way you show up for yourself. This act alone, is self-love. You are showing up for yourself and your passions.
